Default Tunnel Cover

I have the 1/4 tunnel cover and when I was changing the oil I noticed that 5 of the bolts were missing so I replaced all the bolts with M6-1.0 X 30mm ones except one there was no thread insert in the hole. Will it be OK to just leave it alone? Or should I try to fix it?

I would fix it, GM didn't put any extra bolts in.

You had 5 missing, now you have 4 missing. The way I look at it is you are better off than before. I can't believe that 1 missing bolt will make a difference, since there are what 100 bolts in the tunnel cover.

You will be just fine. I always felt there was alittle overkill
with all the bolts for the tunnel plate.

I only have one missing now but the nut insert is gone. Plus I bought longer bolts because I have a thicker cover and replaced all the bolts.

One missing bolt on a tunnel plate isn't a big deal. You could probably run a tap through the missing one to fix the problem.
