Default Vortech Superchargers question

I was looking on the Vortech website and I see there are several different Vortech Superchargers available and within each class there are several subclasses. So I guess my question is, first, which Vortech's fit on a 2003 C5 and which one would be the best one (performance and reliability wise)

My car is all stock besides a blackwing intake, kooks headers, borla exhausts, and it has been tuned by Xtreme motorsports.

Thanks

Sidenote: Also, I heard something about a Vortech Aftercooler....can anyone explain what exactly this is and if it is purchased separately or if it comes with the Vortech Superchargers

Go to A&A and look at their kit. It uses a Vortech head unit, but it's not a Vortech kit. The Vortech kit is no comparision. A&A has maximized looks, belt wrap and power and they sell so many, you get something comparable to a Walmart discount on them.
Their tech support and customer service is second to none.
All you need is the Si trim kit. If you don't wish to circulate engine oil and return it to the pan, you can choose the V3, self-contained unit.

Is the v-3 self contained unit any better or worse performance wise compared to a non contained unit?
Also, whats the difference between the different trims and an 8-rib upgrade?

Im sorry this would be my first supercharger purchase so I am just nervous about what to get

With a stock short block, all you could use is the Si trim. It flows more than your stock shortblock can handle when pullied down. It is good for up to 775horsepower.
There's no sacrifice in power when going V1 vs V3.
Next up is the V1 or V3 T-trim good to 825hp
then the JT trim good to 1000 horsepower
Then the V7 YSi is good to 1200 horsepower

With a good tune and stock shortblock., mid-high 500's to low 600's is typical horsepower when measured at the wheels and about 700 at the crank.

Id buy at least a T trim that way when the stock engine blows eventually you can forge it and be ready for more boost with the T trim.

You have good advice above, A&A is a great kit.

If your looking for the long term and an upgrade after a blown engine, go with the Ysi not the T trim. The Ysi is a monster

ECS PAXTON NOVI 2000 -NO Brainer- good for your stock motor--and one day when you forge her , take the restrictor plate off the air filter , swap to smaller pulley and BAM--no need to upgrade your head unit when you need more boost-- buy one head unit and forgetaboutit. Mine is bone stock bottom end with a safe 606 RWHP Pig rich tune --its all in the tune my friend

I love the way that looks!

How does the Paxton hold up against the A&A kit?
