Default E85 + procharger= 611RWHP/536TQ

I decided to try out E85 when I put on my procharger. I am running a 4.25 pulley making 7-8 lbs of boost and ended up with 611 RWHP and 536 TQ. Matt at SNL Performance did the tune and took his time and the car drives like stock until you push the go pedal, then the traction control light comes on unless you are on concrete. I just got it back today but the results are . So if you are looking for a tuner in the FT Worth area I recommend him.

The car is a 98 I have upgraded to a 02 ecm running speed density, LS6 heads & intake, ecs blower cam with upgraded springs, 80 lb injectors, racetronics pump with hotwire kit, KB boost a pump. And headers no cats with a hooker cat back. I am sure I am forgetting something. I also used a A&A bracket kit and custom made my intercooler piping to an older A&A intercooler.

Also just went for another spin and my 285 kuhmos are not up to the task!!

Who here has really explored the potential of E85? I keep thinking about a friend who is getting 1800 flywheel horsepower out of a very user-friendly 540 inch twin turbo with E85. Scaled down to 400 inches, that's about 1300 hp, without any add-ons like meth.

BTU content is lower than gasoline at stoic, so it seems that just switching fuel without taking advantage of the potential to handle more boost is leaving a lot on the table. Combustion temperatures are lower and detonation resistance is higher, so wouldn't it allow a lot more boost even on a stock block?

Heat absorbed during vaporization is roughly twice that for gasoline, so maybe someone can figure out how much boost can be added with E85 to end up at the same combustion temps.

That was with 23 degrees, power jumped from 580 to 611 from 20-23 it wants more but that is pushing it enough

Where are you getting e85? I want to do it to, but don't know of many stations around the metroplex.

Most Kroger gas, classic clean fuels in grapevine, and there is another in denton. I have been using classic since I drive by it twice a day anyway.

Nice! I bet you are still in safe zone, but 23 degrees on pump gas would kill the engine fast. Nice job!

Are you using anything to monitor fuel pressure?

That's crazy if you are making that kinda power on e85 with a LPE pump and BAP. That would be like making almost 800 whp on pump, pretty badass really!

The dyno graph doesn't show much of a change in afr at the higher rpm. I planned on bringing the sheet with me to work and scanning it but forgot it this morning. I also have a gauge.

Hm... Return system helps... But it's still one pump only. I have boost referenced fpr and it reaches 80 psi on high rpm my idc is over 100% by then with 60lb/h, I have 2 pumps though

Not sure, I'll go to dyno after cam install, I'm running less timming then you, 17 on max torque, but more boost, I will let you know the results
