Good question, but the answer may vary alot. I had to add a BAP when tuning my SC installation on the dyno, and my fuel pressure dropped at about 5800 from 61, to 47, and dropping. This is a H/C stock block Z with the A&A Vortech kit, which includes a Lingenfelter pump, and #60 injectors. Added a Magnaspark BAP, and actually had to retune because it was too much fuel at that point. My tuner uses a Mustang dyno, and his software gives him alot of parameters. I would have had to lower the rev limiter, and at that point, it was almost 75 less RWHP.
It depends on a lot of things, fuel ocatane, how much ethanol you have in your gas. Since its a return style setup you can get away with some more since the regulator isnt at the rear of the car. I believe once that fuel pressure gauge starts to drop 10# deal is done you need more pump, If your needle is barley moving down a couple pounds is one thing a boost a pump would work, but in either case you should have a af gauge and fuel pressure gauge in the car to monitor your pump. Fuel pressure should stay constant dont band aid it. It will kill a motor in the long run. Hp that any combo will support will vary with location.
