My car has been sitting for about a month in garage, went to start this morning and noticed a lot of white smoke coming from exhaust, thought maybe water condensation, looked under and noticed a pool of oil under each turbo, the oil seem to be where the turbos are bolted to the blowout pipes,etc..There is a gasket at this location but I could see oil bubbling thru the gaskets. I let the car run for awhile and it seemed to have stopped leaking and not as much smoke coming from exhaust, car seem to be running ok also, please let me know what you think.
Car has only been driven approx.2000 miles since aps turbos were installed.
How much trouble would it be for me to change back to my original setup, long tube headers, etc.
Thanks
How would I check the scavage pump? Also why is there white smoke and water droplets coming from the exhaust pipe, there is no oil coming from the exhaust.
7lbs of boost, there is no head gasket leak.Like I stated earlier I started the car,let it idle and could not figure why it kept on smoking white smoke mixed with water droplets,I looked under and saw the poodle of oil under the driver side turbo and a smaller amount under the passenger turbo. It looked like it was forced out thru the gasket where the turbos are connected to blowout valve hardware.
Put your hand on the scavenge pump while the car is running. You will feel it vibrating if it is working.Next pull the cold side inlet pipe and wiggle the impeller shaft. There should be no or very little play horizontally.Vertically there will be a little. Are these turbos the Chinese knockoffs? If the smoke is burning coolant it wil have a bitter sweet smell. If it's burning oil we all know what that smells like.
Good luck.
These are the original C5 APS turbos, they have had very little use since they were installed, less than 2000 miles. The smoke looks like fog and there is condensation on the mufflers,I held a white sheet of paper against the tail pipes while car was running and did not see any oil or soot.
The only oil that I smell is the burnt oil that soaked the turbo housings.

I had the oil leaking from the aps turbos and smoke on start up with the original aps scavenger pump. Once I switched to the turbowerx pump, I haven't had the smoking or oil leaking. The original pump was leaving too much oil in the tubo at shut down. Some have installed a timer to keep the aps pump running a few seconds after shutdown to get the oil out. There older post talking about this if you want to search for it.
Would the oil be forced thru where it is bolted to the hardware going toward the blowout hardware,I would think this to be air tight because of the gasket?
Well I decided to jack the car up and see if I could remove the inlet hose to check for any sign of a problem, could not get to it because it was blocked by one of the small hoses,I was able to pull off the hose that comes from the side ,the one that exits from the left on the drivers side,I did find a small amount of oil in the pipe, but could not feel any in the chamber,is this a problem?
The car seems to be running ok now,is it possible that the scavenger pump did'nt start up when I first started the car and is it possible that this is what caused all the oil to forced out?
