Default Got boost!!!

Finally joined the club and all I have to say is I wish I had done this years ago. Car made 607/505 at the tires when de-tuned a bit. Made 654/527 but wasn't comfortable with that much on a stock block. 02Z with A&A kit and 3.8" pulley, LG pros, cats, GHL's, TEX clutch. Had a leak in the front of the motor so of course it had to have a blower cam installed too I've only had it back a few days but it drives almost exactly like stock until you hammer on it and then its just plain silly. The guys at ETMC did all the work and did a great job. Only thing it wont do is stay hooked up. Cold weather in TX, who woulda guessed. Its been raining in Houston almost the entire time but plan on hitting the track friday and really getting to play with it a bit. So whats the next step after this? Forged motor maybe??? Hope Stephen will chime in and maybe post up a video and some build pics.

Thanks all, it would be a lot more fun if the weather would clear up. Also seriously thinking about adding a meth kit, anyone local have a setup I could take a look at?

Those are really nice numbers. Especially without meth. How much boost? I believe you saw the ECS/Alky Control meth kit on my C6 when you picked up the tires that are now no good for you. I highly recommend it. Let me know if you want to take another look. Meth HAS to be your next mod. Get those ~50 RWHP back you had to detune out and then some. Best $/HP you'll ever spend.

Thanks, it should be right around 9lbs at 6500rpm but I haven't had the guts to spin it that much yet. I shift way early as I'm getting accustomed with the new power level. Didn't really get to look at the meth kit but will probably give you a shout in the next week or two to take a look if the offer still stands.

I think the video might be a bit of a let down until I get some meats under it but will give it a shot regardless

Sure, what else would you like to know? It's A&A's V2si kit with ETMC's small blower cam, not sure what the specs are off the top of my head. I think it is a 230ish .58x on a 115 lsa if I'm not mistaken. Really smooth and drives about like stock.

Very nice numbers from a stock bottom and enjoy your new found power, next step is meth followed by a forged setup

Why? You can run a 305/35/18 MT ET Street Radial II on the stock wheel. That should hook plenty good. Increasing the width isn't going to help that much.

well we can add that HP back in actually, it was pretty safe on that tune. He wanted it de tuned just for his own health..lol, he didnt want over 600 Wheel. So we made it good and fat for him (11.0 range) and pulled some timing. safe tune isnt even the word.
