I agree. Even synthetic motor oil is cheap and easy to change and doesn't make me change my mind enough to go to self-lube system. I would rather have fresh stuff often. I really haven't heard of many catastrophic failures.

ECS did mine and I am extremely happy. I was leery also but they are the real deal.

I had my s/c head unit eat up the bearing races and all that crap went down the drain line into oil pan but did no harm to engine. I was always worried if something like that happened if it would go through engine and cause further damage. My magnetic drain plug caught most I guess and what it didnt ended up in the oil filter.
