Default Adding nitrous to a 98 A4 w/ 72000 miles

Looking to add a 100 shot. Would this be okay or will I need more work/reinforcements?

Will be fine (can take more if you'd like)
I've run N2O on every Vette I've owned, and never had an issue. Add to that this engine is stronger than any previous design and you should be good to go as long as you keep it good and fat

Thanks all. Which kit is best? A few recommended 5177.

I have a TBSS with an A4. I'm not doing any perf mods because the trans won't take it well. Vette may be easier on it since it weighs nearly a ton less.

Make sure you have a window switch for it for safety.

yeah, itll be fine. you will want to get a window switch and set the shut off RPM LOWER than where your trans shifts at so you dont spray through the shifts. have it come on at 3000-3500 and nothing lower. if you want to be EXTRA safe, and plan to drag race it, use a window switch that locks out first gear so your trans will forgive you off the line. i reccomend the nitrous outlet dual stage digital window switch. best part of my nitrous system for sure, and it hasnt failed me. in 3 cars.

pull out a few degrees of timing if you have a predator, or if you have a tuner with software. (2 degrees will be okay)

if you run a 5177 kit, you WILL need injectors. please dont be fooled. its just too high of a duty cycle on the stock injectors. better safe than sorry.

if you run a wet kit, the stock injectors will be fine.

run a NGK BR6EF plug , or BR7EF plug if you run higher than that 100 shot.

whatever bottle psi you tune your shot to, make sure to always spray at the same bottle pressure within 50-100 psi. too much pressure = possible lean condition. shoot for 11.5-11.8 WOT AFR on the nitrous.

theres a bunch of safety features, and i use almost every one of them. it is your discretion however. others on here will tell you to throw a kit at it and have fun, others will tell you to not spray at all, ever. i just do what i feel is safe.

let me know if you need any help on your install, or picking out parts. -Jeremy
