hey guys i drive a 04 z06 and im super excited and super curious what im gonna pull off this spring with the new Kit..my currents mods are LTs,catless x,borla straight pipes,vararam..
My drag pack is gonna consist of drag radials..(havent got them yet..most likely gonna be M/Ts) and with Gto Spares
i have a MAF wet kit going in this spring..i'm gonna start off with a 100 shot and eventually put in 150 jets..
im a pretty good driver at the track and know my shift points well..so far my best run is a 12.2@115 on terrible street tires spinning off the line and tire hop into 2nd..
im thinking around low 11s and HOPING to break a 10
what you guys think?

Get a alloyed (hardened) left side differential out put shaft and a tranny brace, this is good insurance and not overly expensive. Don't count on the stock differential to keep you safe!
You can get almost any power level you want with nitrous. As with any other power enhancing options, consider convenience, and engine and driveline breakage.
I've use various nitrous applications on various things for years, but my C5 doesn't have it yet.
sticky tires+hard launch = broken parts spray or no spray
BTW: I have broken 2 rear ends and one had a brace and both output shafts. Broke 3 teeth off the ring gear that time.
Not saying you will break, but don' t be surprised if you do.
I forgot to add,get a clutch that can be slipped like a McLeod street twin...clutches that can't be slipped result in carnage. Also, don't over size your DR's,there's no need because a slight wheel spin saves parts. I run Hoosier 275 40 17 DR's with 606/589 when on the nitrous...set up has a .6 delay for nitrous activation allowing the car to hook without to much stress on the drivetrain. We all still break parts, but being smart about your set up will definitely minimize the carnage.
ill deff keep that in mind when i get my DRs..im gonna tell my tuner to do the 1st shift delete on the spray..im hopen to come across some thin spokes or wagon wheels with DRs so i can just use my stock setup with the super cars for street use
