I seen people switching over to dewits radiators I did a search and haven't found around what hp level people start switching to them and what hp it is necessary to run them... Ill be 525-550ish... When would I need to start thinking about one?

You will know with your new set up. If it get to hot on the gauge you need more raddiator for the car. Any type of F/I will put more heat into the car. These factor one,s to me are junk to the aftermarket stuff. Yes I also have one in the car Dewitt. Almost 1,k at the wheels now. But but when I had a Kenne Bell on the car with only just 600 at the wheels I had to put it on the car also with a trans cooler and oil cooler also.
I recently updated my FI setup from an older generation A&A configuration to the latest A&A configuration. Since everything was taken apart, it seemed to be a good time to switch to the DeWitts... and I am glad I did.
My older configuration was easily pushing 560 HP to wheel. My newer configuration does 580 to the wheel (I added a mild blower cam in the process). With the DeWitts, I noticed almost a 25-30 degree temperature drop! To give you an idea, when I would idle in traffic, I would see the temps in the 205-220 range depending upon the time of year. With the DeWitts, I idle in traffic at about 180 or less. Granted, some of this improvement can be attributed to returning the position of the radiator to its original upright position (a benefit from going with the updated configuration). So as you often hear on car commercials "... your mileage will vary". I think it is a smart thing to do if you have an FI step and I consider radiator upgrade a good insurance policy.
I expect to be up around where you are I have a blower cam as well, looks like I will be doing that too before summer..
My question now I guess is which one to get I plan on running the b and m trans cooler with the fan and running standalone. Should I get the radiator for a manual transmission or should I get the one for the auto.. I have an a4 but am not going to run through the radiator?

Bro-just get the regular SC rad for a 6 speed and run a seperate cooler/fan for the tranny. Have the tranny cooler come on as soon as you fire up the car and stay on until you shut it off.
With an A&A kit on a stock motor you really should have no cooling issues if the tune is spot on, but it's nice to just do everything at once and have it all taken care of.
That's what I was thinking just run a 6 speed radiator and seperate trans, ill try and run it to see if it gets hot before I spend and extra 600 on a radiator
When I forge my bottom end in a year or so than I will definatley do this upgrade possibly this summer, whenever I feel I need the upgrade.. As it seems so far people are doing it at 625 and up..

You really dont need it until you go F/I if you have a problem with the set up you go with. My 1st was a Kenne bell. I had problems with the heat so had to. Also went with oil and trans cooler also. But now that I have the YSI from A/A have pulled both off the car since the car dont need them.
