Default Cam suggestions needed

I have a 408ci with afr 225's, fast 90, LT's, procharger d1sc etc

The cam I have in the car isnt a "blower" cam. The specs are
228/230 .588 .591 114+1

Is the cam hurting in relation to boost/hp?
Is a blower cam going to net me a good amount of hp to justify the the labor and cost?
I like the sound of my cam now, is there a blower cam that has an aggresive tone to it?

I read somewhere on here that another member was loosing boost due to the cam they had(non blower cam similar to mine). I am using a 3.70 pulley and making 10psi which made 735rwhp 725tq.

I am looking to upgrade to an f1c and am also getting mixed info on bracket fitment. I have the a&a bracket, has anyone used it with an f1c? What bracket are you guys using with the f1c?

Thanks for the help

I don't see how the cam could be hurting you. Your numbers are great. It's clear you're not falling off and your numbers are good for 10 lbs. Is your cam perfect? No. Are you getting the maximum amount on top end. I don't know. I doubt it. But you have a lot left in your boost to get more out of the car.

Right now you probably have a pretty drivable, strong vehicle that is not maxed out and will likely live a long time. Be happy.

do you have a over drive crank pulley? because w/ a 3.7 pulley you are not maxing out that D1 yet.

F1C/F1R even an F2 will fit on a A&A bracket-you will either need longer spacers or you can machine the pulley down to make it fit-F series gearcases are different than the P/D series.

Cam will work-it actually has very little overlap-if your set on a F series blower you may want to change the cam with alot more overlap to handle the airflow a F series blower can pump out.

Thanks for the info!!! Maybe I did my math wrong or got the equation wrong, but what is the smallest pulley I can use before it maxes out the d1sc? Stock crank, 65-6800rpm.
Thanks again guys.

impeller speed =

(crank Ø / head unit Ø) * headunit ratio * RPM

So ie:

(7.5/3.7)4.10*6800 = 56513rpm

A D1 is good till 65k.

So the smallest pulley you could run
(7.5/x)*4.10*6800=65000

x=3.22

So a 3.2 pulley would max out your headunit. By that point you'll need an 8rib or Flip drive or else you will never see the max boos because of belt slip.
