Default Wolfe Roll Bar Install

I just wanted to make a thread to show the progress pics of my roll bar install. There were a few things that were kinda tight, such as putting some of the plastic parts around the seat belts and such but overall, it was a fun and fairly easy install.

At the same time, I went ahead and installed the Boost-by-speed control box that ties into my Eboost2 boost controller.

Enjoy the pics.

And the sweet exhaust Arun hooked me up with

Here is the GSSspeedshop BBS box along with the wires to log AFR and FP in my HPTuners.

I scoured the internet looking for pics of red corbeau a4's in a vette. Couldn't find any. Was looking to do the red with my mod red interior. I ended up getting black ones. Might have the centers done in red when they wear out. Cage looks awesome!! Did you put washers under the seats? I ended up with 2 under the mounts and 5 between the seat and seat bracket. Made them much more comfortable.

No, I didn't use any washers. How did it make it more comfortable?

Thanks

It raised the front of the seat up. Before it felt like I was leaning forward. Now it is a very natural feel. If you are sitting in an office chair imagine leaning forward so the chair is flat. Now imagine letting your body weight rock the chair back to a comfortable position. This is what the washers did for my seats. Everyone has their own preference though.

I remember seeing the pics and I'm glad it saved you. Was yours welded in at any points or was it bolted to the plates?

Mine was bolted in place only and did not give way at all and my impact was pretty hard, my body has a life time memory with a zipper running from my ribcage to just past the belly button, I get to see this daily and thankful my wife insisted when I went boost to get the roll bar installed

Just glad you're still OK!

Good to know that the bolted in bar held up.

AWESOME!!! All around.
1. Where did you get the roll bar, how hard would it be to put side bars in? How did you secure it to the frame in the rear? Self tappers into the frame?

2. Is that the Magnaflow exhaust. How do you like it? I have Borla Two tip stingers and they are too loud for my H/C P1 daily driver.

Thanks in advance for your reply,
Max

Glad you made it !!
I've been kicking this around - and I think it's time to have the extra protection as well!

Question regarding pros/cons between removable vs swing out door bars ?
What kind did you get and did you wish later you didn't?

My girlfriend bought it from Wolfe Racecraft in Ft. Worth Texas. I think it would be very easy to add side bars and I actually may sometime down the road. We have a very good chassis guy here in town so I think it would be a breeze for him. Its mounted to the front and back with steel plates underneath.
Yeah, its Magnaflow. I sold my Borla's just for a change of sound LOL

Thanks! I'm not sure which ones I would get, but I don't regret having them as of now.

Fast is all relative. My car is very fast in my city but slow in others. It all depends LOL I sense that was a rhetorical question anyways
