If you can smell fuel there's your issue. You might want to look over fuel lines carefully. Have you checked to see if fuel is leaking at the back of the car where the fuel hat is? Do you have a fuel pressure gauge?

Fuel pressure is fine. Reads what it normally reads about 57 psi or so at an idle.

If it sounds like a Subaru that sounds to me like a broken ringland....not sure how this would explain your fuel consumption

let's not assume the worst. Let's talk and get you through this. It's quite possibly a simple, inexpensive problem.

did you check to see if the engine has any codes?

I would go over your fuel lines from the tank to the rails and see if you can find a leak. Most of it is in the tunel, use your nose to see if there is an area that it is the strongest. I'd think twice about driving it if there is a few leak.....

Talked to Brett today (blownbluezo6) and I'm going to inspect the plugs and closely inspect the injector wiring harness. As well as possibly do a compression test if the above don't fix it. I will also pull the valve covers and check for a broken spring and replace fuel filter if the above springs are not broke and the harness looks fine and the plugs aren't soaked.

Your original post from C4 section!

Issues please look.

Ok so I was driving to work everything was good to go. I get off the interstate and stop at a light. When I went to take off the engine sounded like a wrx boxer engine. I can smell fuel and the car is ironing like crap and has reduced power. No check engine lights oil pressure is good cooling temp is normal. No signs of a fuel leak

It's consuming gas at an alarming rate a quarter tank in 40 miles.

Blown 383 stroker upgraded everything.

It sounds like the injectors are hanging wide open and drowning the cylinders, giving the reduced power, and the aweful sound -

Will be looking for investigative results on the plugs!

Were you doing anything to the Vette previously, like working on it etc. any recent changes?

Thanks,Matt

Matt. No work done this far. I was going to change the oil this week but that's it.

I'll post as I find out more.
