Default 3.5 inch dongle??

Hi guys,

I have an A&A kit in my car and was reading about the 4 inch stainless steel dongles guys make and get good results with. I have a normal height Dewitts radiator how hard would it be to fit a 4 inch dongle? Also, how would a 3.5 inch dongle work the vortech site says the Si has a 3.5 inch inlet. Can more power be made with a 3.5 inch dongle over the one in my car for A&A?

Thanks,

Rob

The 4in stainless steel pipe will not work with the org size radiator.

Curious about if we should go with the 3.5 or 4" for the Si 3.5 inch inlet?

The less restriction in front of the supercharger, the better and more power you'll be able to make.

Agreed... I remember reading that the 4" pipe gave some good increases / better flow over the A&A dongle that we got - but I guess I was wondering if a 3.5" pipe would show much improvement / or not / over the A&A dongle - IF anybody had tried to see what the difference was - if any?

I'll take a picture of a 3.5" pipe compared to the A&A dongle tonight and post it.

Do you know if it has any affects on cooling with the radiator layed down?

Thats what I was thinking would the 3.5 be easier to make fit. Even if its not as good as the 4" if its some improvement and I think it would look better too.

That's all you need. I guess if you're close to 1K HP at the wheels you may want to figure out a straight 4" piece. That the new design is pretty darn good.
