Finishing my A&A Corvette supercharger install this weekend, I have to drive about 80 miles to the nearest tuner. Have read several threads on this and many have stated that its safe to drive the car, as long as you leave your stock injectors in and don't get into boost. What is the max RPM you can run before the BOV closes and the system starts pressuring up? I do not know a lot about tunes, what type of tune would you suggest for a 1997 that is at 5,500 altitude and would be safe and conservative for spirited driving? Any suggestions and advice would be appreciated.
Regards Marty

keeping out of boost is key here.
i wouldnt recommend driving it all! but others will say your fine..many different factors play into this such as what other mods do you have? all stock engine, exhaust setup etc DO YOU HAVE ANY gauges to monitor your car like a wideband AF or boost gauge ,EGT or water temp? ...your kit didnt even come with a base tune on a flash loader like predator or HP tuners??? i use HP tuners and the support and forums are awesome!!! you can download other peoples tunes found in the tune repository and then flash your own ECU....find someone with your setup and maybe you can find a base tune to get you started SAFELY.
Thanks for the replies and advice, I am going to buy HP Tuners in the near future and learn how to tune, but for now I am going to pay somebody who knows what his doing. The kit I purchased was a tuner kit so that explains why it did not come with even a rough tune to get it running with the 60# injectors, and the car is a 1997, which I have heard is not the easiest ECU to work with, again thanks for all advice and suggestions. Regards Marty
Well I dynoed it at Motiva and it did right at 300hp and tq uncorrected( 360hp and 356 ftlb corrected) but was pretty crappy a/f from 4K rpm. 11 to 11.5/1. They thought I could get 20-30 more ftlb pretty easy with maybe 10-15 hp on top. I'd say if they could get that much more tq it would be worth $450 bucks. Especially if it was from 3k rpm or so. I don't know whether to belive them or not though. Car is completely stock.
Motiva is one of the tuning shops I am considering taking my car for tuning now that I have finished installing my supercharger, you mentioned crappy air/fuel ratios past 4k, why was that? is it your stock fuel injectors, or fuel pump? Regards Marty
Well that is a good question. I have no idea why the a/f is like that. He did say he thought it ran better than what other c5zo6's have run. He said it was real close to what he sees with new LS3 Camaro SS. I don't know if this what other stock zo6's run. It's a very low miles <9K car very clean and stock. Fuel was very fresh. I don't know, I just didn't know who could clean it up around Albuq area for reasonable.
