Started my 97 this morning after finishing the install of A&A Corvette supercharger kit, had traction control message, and reduced engine power messages on the DIC. After starting it a secound time after 15 minutes it started fine the only thing it has now is the check engine light, I am thinking that's going to stay on untill I have the car tuned?
The V3 Si trim supercharger instructions state that you should check the oil level, but there was no dipstick with the supercharger, can I use something else to check the oil level? Thanks in advance for any help. Regards "Almost Supercharged" Marty

Yep should all go away when tuned. I'm hoping you aren't trying to drive the car around and boost it

Car is still in the garage on stands, if I do drive it I will take the advice from forum members about not exceeding 2,500 rpm. Nearest tuners are about 80 miles away, I am thinking about trailering it instead of driving. Any idea how to check the supercharger itself for correct oil level, I did not find a dipstick which I belive should have come with it.
Regards Marty

Do you have a V3? The dipstick is deceiving because it doesn't look like an actual dipstick you are probably accustomed to.

Let me go take a picture of mine and post back, it will be easier than explaining.

Here is a pic of mine. On mine the bottom brass plug is the dipstick and the top one is the one I used to refill the headunit

Hope that helps

Thanks for the pics, it's not easy being a newbie, I was following the instuctions that came with the supercharger and double checking the oil level. Can't wait to get her tuned and see what kind of power it will put down. Will post after I get it tuned.

Milan,
If that is the current pic of your S/C headunit, it looks like you still have the shipping plug installed on the top port. It's missing the vent tube plug that is suppose to be installed after you install on the car new.

The vent plug is rounded with a small hole in the side. Looks more like the bottom plug instead of having the flat brass head. Check into it and let me know.

Hey RPM. I've fixed it since the picture was taken. When I first installed my blower I was in the middle of moving places and couldn't find the venting plug. So I just said screw it for a little while.

It's the right way now I promise

Stock injectors have not been replaced, I am going to take the car for a couple of short rides and not getting into boost before getting it tuned and installing the 60# injectors.
