Engine pull from top or bottom?
Lowering the front cradle is not that big a deal. Take off the top control arms, undo the brake line clip holding the solid line to the frame, remove the motor mount bolts and it's only four bolts holding the cradle up to the frame. This is with the engine already attached to the engine hoist supporting the weight of the engine.
Once the engine detaches from the driveline, the driveline will fall down. The tunnel plate will hold it, but dings it up a little. It's better to rest it on a jackstand if you can clear the engine hoist legs and cradle all under the car at the same time.
Nice to have done the cradle lowering if you plan to install a FAST 102 in their later. It seems some cars don't fit the manifold right without shimming the cradle.
