I am new to the forced induction systems. I live in California where we only have 91 octane so would it be a good idea to run racing fuel? I may go to a 1/8 mile track just to see how it runs since I don't street race.
I have a V-3 A&A kit. The car is stock 2002 C5 other then the Corsa exhaust. There is a place in San Marcos that has racing fuel but I do not know the mixture. I travel to Rancho Santa Fe quite a bit. Do you know which gas station had the racing fuel?
I don't remember...I remember it was in the middle of a bunch of nice houses kinda. It wasn't a commercial gas station like Shell or Chevron or anything.
Unfortunately I don't talk to the girls I knew from San Diego anymore so I can't be any help.
But I know when I was they they had 100+ octane. I would say they only had 2-3 pumps
Your problem is that you only can afford to only run about 550HP without making some serious changes to your drivetrain. People run more but generally not for long. You should be able to get to 550 and run 91 octane esp if you add meth to the equation. If you convert to E85 you will have to run bigger injectors and look at your fuel pump to deliver the appropriate volume. And you will be stuck fueling at E85 stations which aren't out there in volume.
