Best to have the newer one for sure. They're only ~85 shipped.
I won't install a supercharger without it. It's just not worth the savings.

Bret,
Guess I could search, is there an issue with the earlier brackets? Mine is also an '02..

Thanks!
Edit. seen your post.. thanks.
The earlier brackets are prone to breaking much easier than the newer ones. It didn't happen to me for quite a while and then it left me stranded. 200.00 tow due to a 80.00 part is the definition of suck!!

I changed mine to the new style during the install. If you are doing the install yourself be prepared for some cussing, and you might want to get a new PS pulley just in case you break yours. Like others have said, I changed mine "just in case" I am not sure what else could be damaged if the thing broke at high rpm or MPH..
Good thing is that I posted up and its obvious some people didnt know this...
A&A calls this out in the install instructions. This is one thing that pushed me to do the install myself. I called several shops for install quotes and none of them mentioned this replacement.
As a side note, I talked to one of the A@A mechanics to nail down a belt issue. During the conversation he did mention he has seen more of these early brackets broken lately.
