Default finally on the darkside

GG performance built 396 stroker, a&a V3-si, beefed up M6, 3:42 back in. Breakin period right now till 500 miles. Saw 5lbs of boost on a very safe tune last night, running 12 degrees timing right now.

The engine power alone is way ahead of what i had. Hoping to see 700 at the engine with 9.5 compression. All forged, arp studs, comp cam.

This should be a fun daily driver. dyno in about two weeks.

Welcome bro to the dark side but dont baby that thing but also dont dog it at this time.. No way you will hurt it with only 12 deg of timing in her and with no more boost than that at this time. Robert

I would think you should see more than 5lbs with a 3.4 pulley ?
Even with a bigger good breathing engine - I would guess you should see more like 8 - 10 lbs?
but hey what do I know...

Congratulations on your new setup - have fun !!!

the blowoff isnt set and the engine only has a pig rich breakin tune. I dont have any doubt that after all is set after my breakin that i will see around 9 for sure.

500 miles is a long time sometimes. i can only go to the store for things so many times a day...lol

well, it didnt last long! Not even 300 miles and the BAP burned up. Getting replacement from A&A sent. Tuner had it hooked up wrong to start with and at startup the pump wasnt working. Bypassed the BAP and the fuel pump worked. They re-wired the BAP and it has only lasted this long.

Tuner is stating that it isnt his fault.

the tuner also opened the BAP to look inside and found the board burned. The last couple of days that the car ran, i noticed that it was taking more revolutions to start.

Have asked A&A to send detailed report of why/what burned up. It should be pretty easy to see what went wrong with the circuitry, and if the tuner actually is at fault.
