I have 4.10 with supercharger, Head, Cam. 624RWHP. It all depends on how and where your driving.1/4 mile, with a 4.10 and that much power you will be shifting(more) into 5th gear. If your street racing or racing from a dig(hole shot) then you will love the 4.10. Even road course it will be fun as hell but if you like top end highway pulls 60-170mph then stick with a 3.42.
Hope this is helps
i had 3.90 with 750hp, i switched back to 3.42 as quick as possible. i say stick with the 3.42
A good size diff from 3:42 to 3:90 even in a stock vette going from the 2:76 or the 3:15 to a 3:42 is a good diff inhow the car pulls. Then if you look at 550 rwhp in a 3:90 hope you only race someone from 60 mph on a roll.... Robert
I haven't been able to drive a lot with my 3.73's. But the gears really, really wake the car up. It feels like every gear is dropped down a gear. 3rd feels like 2nd used to. 4th pulls like the old 3rd and so on...
