Default Ls6 intake gain?

Hey guys,

I am currently running A&A si trim 3.6 pulley, cam, headers, and meth stock ls1 heads. I have a 2000 with Ls1 intake and I am wondering if the Ls6 intake would really make a difference. My goal is 600 rwhp I will have dyno numbers Friday. Do you guys think it is worth changing intakes?

I have a early c5 with the crappy heads, ls6 intake 3.6 pulley and 100% meth small blower cam 220/ 228 .581 .588 116+3 and automatic and im making 551 on a mustang dyno at slowhawk performance..

My guess is that it isnt worth it when supercharged.. only reason i changed mine is because at the time i was NA and it was supposed to help..

My answer in short would be no

Ahh ok... Well I was not planning on doing it but want to paint intake gloss black and instead of the down time I would rather swap the intakes for a painted one and was wondering if the Ls6 would give me any performance gain.

Every little bit helps, I don't see a big gain but it's worth 10-15rwhp N/A.

Not unless you can find a real good deal on a used one. I remember paying something like $500 for my LS6 intake (many moons ago), and frankly for that sort of money you'd be better off applying it to a bigger head-unit.

I swapped mine out when I was NA, polished out the ruff spots on the throttle body since it was off as well. Biggest gain I noticed was more responsive at WOT and seemed to pull better at high rpm. If you have it already or find one real cheap then sure go for it. I wouldn't by one new, rather spend it on something else to compliment the SC. I'm boosted now so I guess every little bit helps to flow better. I've got no complaints.
