Default Belt issue => Replacing Damper ?

Six month ago, i bought the Vortech V2 a&a for my C5 2k (6 ribs application, 3.4 pulley.

Two month ago, during a drag weekend, i saw my belt have lost one rib !

After remove the blower, i was thinking that was because a metalic part who was touching the belt, so i fix the metalic problem, and replace the belt.

One or two day after remplacing the belt, bad noise of belt...

Now, the new belt is shifted (at the last pulley of the a&a kit just before the damper... the last rib is on the pulley stop)
We have remove another time the blower and the damper seem buckled (stock damper, Corvette 2000, 50.000 miles, and it buckled almost 0.05 inch by seeing it on the side of the vehicule)

I think i have to replace it (do you think as us that 0,05 inch of blucked for a damper can cause the belt shift ?) but for what model ?
A stock one ?
An ATI or other trademark ?
A fluid harmonic ?

Thanks

Sounds like you have failed the factory damper, not uncommon.
When mine went just a few months after the install of my Procharger I installd the ATI and never looked back.

Some friend of mine use ASP model (N/A application) and i saw SLP (seem better than ASP !?) at very good price !

Less than $200 for 25% underdrive pulley with new bolt, it can be i good choice ?

So... should/can i prefer UD pulley ? (but with my FI application, i choose not to go at more rpm than stock... perhaps i dont need that)

Another problem for 25%UD... I think i have to change the belt... Sometimes i read i need 2 new belt... sometimes just 1 ??? (and evidently for the serpentine, i need a special for my a&a kit/3.4 pulley/6 rib...

ATI has too much meat at the front and won't fit without hitting your A&A bracket. Don't go underdrive. Get a non-underdrive SFI balancer, but be careful, even though they don't say it, many of them are 8 rib. Pioneer brand is 6 rib

Do not get a underdrive pulley, you will loose boost and most likey have belt slip.
