Default Altenator pulley issues

Wondering if any has encountered this problem and if so a solution.

I have an 02 Z06 with a Magnacharger. 3.0 pulley size, pulling 9 lbs boost.

I do HPDE's and have had problems breaking the altenator pulley off the shaft.

So far I have spun 3 pulleys off the shaft this year.

These are aftermarket altenators from Autozone, (lifetime warranty).

Anyways, just wondering if others have encountered this issue and if so, what did you do to fix.

the pulleys are prone to loosening. Be sure to apply some red locktite and torque it down real good.

Cartek Flip Drive or Dallas Performance Direct drive. Gotta think it is putting the same stress on everything else. You will probably also get a little performance increase.

the Cartek unit is a great piece, but overkill in this situation IMO. Plenty of people running a maggie without problems. Now if he were bending the alternator shaft that would indicate too much stress. But a pulley working loose is fairly common on supercharger applications and an easy fix with locktite.
