Default BOV stuck / not opening, quick question

Hey everyone, got a 97 c5 with an ATI P1SC charger, and a 50mm TiAL blow off valve, running around 8ish psi.

I had it installed at the end of last summer, drove it less than 150 miles, had no issues, and then put it in the garage over winter, started it up every now and then, but never throttled it.

Pulled it our earlier this spring, and it seems like the BOV isn't opening anymore. Prior to the garage I could clearly hear it while shifting at anything above 2.5k rpm.

My tuner ended up moving away, but he said its a possibility its just stuck, and recommended cleaning it with wd-40.

Is there any particular way to take it off and clean it, or do any of you have any suggestions? I've attached a picture of it to give you an idea of how it was installed. I'm not the most mechanically inclined, but it seems like an easy enough fix assuming its stuck, just wanted to make sure I didn't break anything.

Thanks a lot for any and all help.

first thing is to check the spring rating inside and see which it is. I have opened some units up and they have gunk inside .... Make sure you are running the appropriate spring for your Vac setting.

Well, the BOV was running great until recently, and was professionally installed. Is the vac setting something that could change over a winter?

I was asking more if there was anything I need to know to take the BOV off. Just unbolt everything or are there specific steps to removing it?

Nothing special to it, just take off the clamp and vaccum hose to remove it then undo the allens on the unit itself to take it apart.
