I had saw on lingenfelter forums that they were trying to fit one once. but had problems with throttle body clearance on the hood, so you still had to have a new hood.
Was wondering if anyone else has tried to fit one of these on a C5?
i want to say there is some spacers for the 4 bolts on the engine cradle that lower everything down to get it under the stock hood.. but i could be wrong. swear i read that a while back somwheres...
any ways i was talking about this kit with somw coworkers and Hinsons new shorter motor mounts sound like a good solution to this problem... depending on how much youd need to lower it and how short the new hinson mounts are... idk for sure. just putting the idea out there!
There are shims to lower the cradle on a C6 for the Edelbrock so It's probably needed on a C5 as well, just more shims.
I actually put one on my valley cover to see it if would fit and it'll work with about a 3/8" drop on the cradle. Btw, I'm not a suspension person or anything but, except for the extremely lowered setups, a dropped cradle is a nice way to lower the roll center without compression the suspension.
