Default Need help with nitrous

I have a 2002 Z06, with intake and exhaust. I'm having Long tubes and nitrous installed soon and I'm looking for a nitrous kit. I want to spray a 125 shot from about 3k to 6k rpm in 2nd through 4th gear. The car will be dynotuned immediately after install. I plan on having beer switches installed in the flip up compartment and gauges on the A pillar to monitor the bottle pressure and fuel pressure.

I am not sure whether to get a wet or dry kit, or if I should go with NX, NOS or Zex. So many options. Can someone please point me in the right direction with a few of the more common nitrous kits? I also need help with a system to mount the bottle. I would prefer to have 2 bottles mounted in the center rear compartment. (2 bottles mostly for aesthetic reasons)

These are the switches and gauges I'm looking at right now. Are these good options?

I have been very pleased with my Nitrous Outlet kit. Dave's been very helpful from the beginning. He's got some wicked dual billet bottle brackets that can be inegrated with heaters if you desire. At a minimum, I recommend a good window switch, heater.

You will like the auto meter pillar it matches the stock interior the best IMHO. Ditch the fuel pressure gauge and get a wideband. As far as the Wet or Dry setup, you will have people that will argue till their face is blue on which is better. Personally I would see what your tuner is more comfortable working with and what goals do you have for the car in the future? As far as brands I would go with Nitrous outlet or Nitrous Express, I have dealt with both and they both have excellent customer service. You can also go to ls1tech they have a very good nitrous section of their forum.

If you go Dry you will need enough injector to support the engine and the nitrous. Stock injectors peter out around 450rw. 42lb green top injector will do all you need. I prefer wet nitrous and a dedicated fuel cell so you can run C16 when spraying the juice. Safety. There are many plate kits that will do what you want. They are easy install and clean looking. Nitrous Outlet is where I bought most of my stuff at. I am going boost now and have all my old stuff that I need to sell. If you are interested let me know. I have everything! Controllers, timing retard, dedicated fuel cell, plate kit, direct port kit with fast intake, bottle brackets, switch panel, nano, ect. All top of the line stuff and in excellent condition.

Default Just in case...

NOS complete dual stage for sale!
I have changed my plans to switch back to using an LS2 TB and intake manifold with NOS. I bought this some time ago from a forum member with that in mind - but need to sell it now - already sold the LS2 manifold and TB - have NOS dual stage left and some 60# Motron injectors still available.

Here is the original thread from when I purchased it:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-p...em-anyone.html

Asking $600.00 shipped for NOS
Motron 60# Injectors $260.00 shipped

I was very happy with my Harris Speed Works N2o set up. I had a wet system and their controller is really an all inclusive piece.

Have fun with your build.

Thanks for your help guys! I ended up ordering a wet kit from Nitrous Outlet. This is what I have ordered so far:

Brand X LSX EFI Single Nozzle System (60psi)
Nitrous Outlet luminescent Nitrous Pressure Gauge & 4an Manifold
Nitrous Outlet Male NHRA Valve (Includes Pressure Relief Disk)
Nitrous Outlet 180* Blow Down Tube (Black Fitting)
Nitrous Outlet Fuel Pressure Safety Switch w/-4 manifold (high
pressure)
Brand X 4an Purge Kit
Brand X 4an Nitrous Bottle Heater
Nitrous Outlet 4AN Nitrous Filter
Window Switch / TPS Controller
NGK BR7EF ( 2 steps colder than stock )
Nitrous Outlet Remote 10lb/15lb Nitrous Bottle Opener

I ordered a "beer" nitrous switch panel and autometer a pillar for the gauges. I also ordered a new blue anodized nitrous bottle by NOS because I like the way they look. I plan on selling the brand X bottle if anyone is interested.

Is there anything I am missing? I've heard it is easy so I am going to try most of the install myself but will probably get help with putting the nozzles in the intake and setting up the window switch. Any tips for the install? And what are the best 2 1/16" nitrous gauges for my a pillar that aren't crazy expensive? I was thinking Bottle pressure and fuel pressure would be the best thing to monitor, any other suggestions?

Get yourself a good Wideband. I like AEM and have not had any problems in the cars we install them on. Take your time and double check everything and you should be good.

I recently installed an NX kit on my car and all the people at Nitrous Express have treated me nothing short of great. I run their EFI race nozzle kit, and pilled for 100 shot I am spraying it right out of the hole through all 4 gears.

I would suggest running the kit as is before trying to be progressive, lock out gears, etc. I have found nitrous to work the best, and be the most fun/hassle free when it is just simple without having to worry about and wire up a ton of gizmos.

Make sure your tune is spot on, mine didn't require any timing retard for the 100 shot, but at any more I would certainly look into pulling some timing. Also, make sure you get at least some TR6 plugs in.

Dual bottles will not fit in the center compartment. To run dual bottles you will have to use a backed like posted above and this will just mount in the rear hatch/truck area. If you want to put it in the rear compartment, even fitting a single 10# bottle is a squeeze. I made a mount out of wood that sits down in the cubby very snug and bolted my brackets to that.

Nitrous is fun! And addicting!
