Is it possible at all to install the new map sensor without removing the intake manifold?

Think I read this a few years back.

Yes, its just a tight squeeze working on it. You can remove the coil pack and get it on the passenger side. Removing the valve cover should gain extra room too.

Thanks just bought it new for $51 shipped on eBay.

Now can I install it on my current tune and drive the car on the highway to the shop to be tuned or will it make the car un driveable on the current tune?

Is it a good idea to take the intake manifold off any how and change the gaskets underneath? Do many cars have issues with boost leaks there?

Thanks!

I had stock map put on a 3bar the car started but once a gave gas it died. Had to adjust tune to work. Give it a try if it runs just take it easly cause they will charge 100 bucks or so. GL
P.S. i heard some can be changed with no adjustment but i don't know which one. I got my 3bar off ebay for 20 new. Over a yr ago no problems.

Thanks yeah it probably won't be drivable without changing a few settings.

What part number is the 3 bar sensor?

I've upgraded to a t trim and put on the pullies to max out its rpms.
I have no idea how much it will boost, maybe over 15psi.

I have the supporting mods. What psi would a t trim maxed on stock engine put out just for reference?

What about changing the intake manifold gaskets good idea? Do they often leak if original?

You can NOT install a 2bar map sensor without reflashing the computer with a 2 bar operating system (OS). It will not run at all or if it does, it will run really bad.

You will also need to delete the MAF when going 2 Bar or 3 bar.

If you run 3 bar, you need a 3 bar OS installed. Most people on here running 15 or more psi still run a 2 bar. You lose resolution running a 3 bar. Don't run it if you don't need it.

What's up man! As soon as I return we'll get this thing tuned, perhaps we'll meet up if it's near you.

Do you think I should change out the intake manifold gaskets before hand to make sure theres no leaks or is that uncommon?

What psi does a T trim on a stock engine put out maxed out on rpms?
