Just go my 02 Z06 back today from having the Magnuson TVS2300 installed. The fuel pump is at its max output with BAP. I would like to install a fuel pump that can handle the load without a BAP if possible. Is there a high enough flowing pump that is resonably priced? Would have to be good up to around 700 RWHP as I plan on doing some more mods. Oh and the car is awesome.
Do the LPE pump and racetronix harness, keep the BAP
^^^^ What he said. ^^^^
This should support up to about 650whp. I don't think that you're going to get 700whp on a Maggie+stock block. And if you're talking about going in to the motor, "reasonably-priced" went out the window a long time ago.
I think the BAP that comes with the newer style Maggies is better than some other common brands, but it's not enough to safely supply enough fuel, by itself. I have this one, but installed on a A&A centri that's only producing about 7.5lbs of boost. The "Magnaspark"? BAP was added to my stock block 346, with a LPE pump, and allowed my tuner to safely get almost 40 more HP. I don't have the Racetronix wiring harness, BTW, and the tuner had plenty of FP to 6400, and beyond. I don't plan on revving it much more than that with 600RWHP (Mustang dyno) and a stock block.
Wow over 600 RWHP on a Mustang is really something. I am only putting down 477 RWHP and 535 Tq with 10# of boost, also on a Mustang Dyno. I would love to get to 600 RWHP. What other mods have you done? All I have done so far is bolt on, Kooks 1 7/8 lt headers, 3" catted X pipe soon to be swapped out for a non-catted X pipe, B&B Bullets, and the Magnuson TVS2300. I was really hoping for around 550 RWHP just with this setup. Once I change the X pipe and get a higher output fuel system maybe I can get there???
