Default 4" Intake mod ?

Hi,

I did a search but haven’t quite found what I was looking for.
What exactly is the 4” Intake mod ? Does this mean 4” tubes on the head unit or TB ?
Is there a upgrade kit available or is this done all custom ?
I have a maxed out A&A V3-Si Kit and wouldn’t mind picking up another pound of boost with that mod.

Thanks ,
Alex

going to the head unit itself. You have to drop the rad and have some cut down. I did the intercooler to the TB in 4 inch as well.. although most wont benefit from it.

I did a 4" tube last month on my NA motor from my Vararam to the TB. Basically it woul be the same type of job... Lower the radiator support and trim the plastic cover where the pipe passes over. $30.00 from A&A for the drop spacers and less than $20.00 for a 4" 45 degree tube (for me).

Basically you want the straightest inlet to the supercharger head unit as possible. In order to do this you need a dewitts cut down radiator or you need to lower the radiator in another fashion.

I was wondering what the benefit of this mod was. I have it on my car but I want to sell my mine and get different pipes for a better and tighter fit

Same here, my older style A&A intercooler has an oval 4" discharge plumbed through 4" charge pipe.

What I don’t understand is, what benefit would I have from a 4” tubing to the head unit, when the inlet OD on the V3-SI Trim only is 3.5”?

How exactly is a rainbow made? How exactly does the sun set? How exactly does a positrack rear end on a Plymouth work? It just does.

All of the ducting is 4" on my kit, I'm pretty sure ECS uses only 4" on all there kits!

Hmmm. Mine is not 4" from blower to IC and ita also all rubber. I have been thinking about hard piping it from blower to IC. Would I gain anything by going 4" from the blower to the IC.

Okay, good point made

So besides requiring the 2“ shorter Dewitts radiator, what kind of tubing do I require and where can I get it ? I assume there is no upgrade kit for an A&A kit available…
