Default fuel pressure

Whats the highest rwhp that a boost a pump would be safe for in a blower car. With my presant 581rwhp guage never comes off 58psi but going to a cam swap and retune most likely be in the 650 ish area just trying to avoid a new fuel system in my 04Z.

Right now it has 60lb injectors that came with the ECS kit. KB boost a pump and holds steady at 58 psi.

A return line would be a big help and not a lot of $$$$. I dont know if you could get to 650 without one.

That's right on the edge. I've seen cars with BAP's fall on their faces at that power level and I've seen some make 650 and hold good up to the end. If it's not too inconvenient ( in other words if you're not wasting a trip to a shop 600 miles away or something big like that), then try your 650RWHP recipe and see how it holds up. If it holds up, then you saved yourself some dough. If not, then you're spending money that you partially anticipated spending in the first place.

I have an ECS system as well with their blower cam, 60lb injectors, and BAP and I was fine at 615hp @ 10lbs of boost on a Mustang Dyno! I also have meth which adds as extra fuel!

I added a secondary fuel system this year and 4 more lbs of boost to make sure I did not run out of fuel.

You should be fine, however if you add the cam and then have your car tuned, the last thing you will want to hear from your tuner is "Your maxed out on fuel" and get stuck putting in a fuel system and then another tune!

If I were you, upgrade your fuel system to handle 800hp or more and you should never have to look back! Be done with it as you know you will add more HP later on, we all do to feed our sickness!

I don't normally mind spending the money but just dropped almost 10k on a new interior in the car so I was willing to spend a bit on a cam and tune but now throw in a fuel system. But if it needs it it needs it. The other thing I might just do is wait till December and do a full forged set up.
