Default 100LL gas mix

so here's a question for y'all. i've heard of some people running a mix of pump premium gas with 100LL in other cars (some carb'd, some fuel injected) and ain't really come up with any definitive results on whether or not it'd be fine to run in my car.

before y'all pull out your flamethrowers, listen to my situation.
i'm running 11psi on my stock 2000 LS1 (51k mi) through a TVS2300 and have been tuned on 93octane E10. well then i got PCS'd to a town (Abilene TX) that only sells 91 E10. there's one station that claims 92, but it's part of a chain that advertised 93 when they opened a while back & was forced to re-label it as 91 at every other station they had in town, so i don't necessarily even trust that.

i talked to my tuner & he said it was a safe enough tune that i should be okay if it's actually 92, but if it's 91, i'm pushing it close enough to need some sort of boost in points or mail him the PCM to pull a few degrees out. that also said, i'm PCSing again in Dec, so it might not be worth it if they have 93 where i'm going.

so my question is if any of y'all have ever run 100LL mix in a boosted LS engine? if i mix it 1gal for every 3gal of 92, that should theoretically get me to 94 (or just over 93 if mixed with 91).

thoughts?

and no, they don't have 100 unleaded. only LL and premixed JetA. and they're the only FBO around.

i've also heard mixed commentary on toluene mixing.

I used to run straight 100LL years ago when I was fixing planes, worked great, but.. I did not have 02 sensors that would foul from the lead in time like you do.

Lead leaves a coating that will throw 02's off in time, sorry if it's not the answer you were looking for.

What about Torco or Klotz octane booster? Ive used both in the past before switching to E85 and they both worked excellent. I Know you were asking about 100LL and I used that in the past as well but I didnt have cats or 02's. Just keep an eye on your 02's over a few hundred miles as they are easy enough to check.

All good! I used to get it for free because the fuel trucks had to be drained of the water at the bottom of the tanks each day and several gallons of good fuel would go with it. The guys that worked the fuel trucks would see me draining the waste tanks every other day to fill up my car (which didnt have cats or 02's) so one by one they would try and skim a few gallons with the same thought of "I'm only running a few gallons to the tank full", but one by one they would need new 02's and one guy clogged his cat up.
They were jealous I could run it, but knew it would cost them more in the long run.

I would use Torco myself if I was you.
