So I installed my supercharger last year and haven't had the vehicle tuned yet. I rarely drive it and I haven't attempted full throttle. I do have a wide band installed so I can see my A/F ratio so I know its not lean.
I'm going to tune it when I have the chance to sit down and learn the software but that might be a while. Since I'm itching to feel the power could I potentially try it out using the following method?
I have a wet NOS system as well. Lets say I drop in the small NOS pill for atomization purposes and a large fuel pill to compensate for the extra O2 provided by the supercharger. My NOS trigger is set to activate at WOT.
As long as the WideBand reads at 11.5 or so I'm ok right? I don't plan on this being a long term solution. Like I said, I'd like a taste of the power. Works when the NO2 is supplying the O2, seems like it would work just the same when the supercharger is supplying the extra 02. Its kind of like a old-school carb guess your jet size tune.
If you are boost referenced it is plausable. Nitrous is a constant O2 supply, boost is not. Its linear, less down low, and more up top. A better way to do it is with a FMU, like on the old mustangs. Boost goes up, and it pinches off the fuel return line and adds more fuel. Works just fine. Especially everybody these days with rich "safe" tunes. No better than a Carb in most instances.
