Hi guys, any of you know where i can get i custom cam or something for my engine. Here's the situation.
I bought a LS6 with a Lunati 383 stroker kit (High compression 12.2)
I have to change pistons so ill probably call Lunati and get some 10.x compression ratio pistons. As the cam was probably for a N/A car too and i dont know where the &%$ it comes from ( only wrote 606 on), i want to change it for something better for my driving. ( This was Rhys Millen old engine). Im having a Vortech V-2 kit but my compressor broke a week ago. As im not that rich, ill run the engine N/A for the end of the summer and install back all the S/C kit this winter.
Mods on the car: C5 base
Full exhaust
Vararam + LS6 intake
Compression ratio will be 10.2 or around.
Manual 6spd
Its for street/strip driving
Would like a rough idle
No inspection in here.
Will run 10-12 psi of boost
would like 2500-6000 range rpm.
If any of you can suggest me something or someone to ask about.
This cam is proven and is in several 8 and 9 sec cars!
2003Vette (Shawn) runs this cam and holds the fastest stock bottom, 9.49 @ 144mph!
Yes I also have this cam and I love it! Just my recommendation!
You can also send Arun a PM, he has a few proven cam setups that work awesome as well!
I guess it is the intake then holding you back from the times in the 9,s . Since 2003vette is running a ls6 intake. Ballbusting time ..Only giving you a hard time my friend... Robert
To OP, from personal experience I can't speak for or against the ECS blower cam. However, I can speak for Arun's cams. They are definitely proven to make power on blown applications. If I could give you some advice too if your going to go in and do pistons you might as well out a good set of rings in there such as the hellfire or GFX rings. I think piston rings are one of the most overlooked items by some people.
