Default opinions on new build

Trying to get some opinions on an engine build. In yalls preference what would be the parts of choice for my ls1 based engine. basically needing help determining the whole rotating assembly .I plan on using a set of 317 heads ive had setting in my garage in combination with a stage two blower cam from arun.

what crank, rods, pistons etc would you guys prefer, and what power levels would you think could be acheived by doing this?

btw , ill be running the a&a v2 headunit

Come up with a power level or 1/4 mile goal and go from there. (weight of the car and street/strip helps also)

You can determine a lot from have a goal.

Callie's crank (LSx or even better dragon slayer) Callie's Compstar rods with ARP bolts, wiesco pistons with GFX or hellfire rings, ACL, or king bearings, ARP main studs and that should be stout enough to pretty much do what you want on a ultra high performance street car. Even some mild to moderate racing stuff.

The above rotating assembly has been in the 8's in the 1/4 and well over 1,000 WHP time and time again.

Good luck!

The power is the easy part buddy-don't forget to tackle the fuel system.

True arun . At what power range would my lingenfelter fuel pump and 60# injectors be a weak link?

If I were buying new crank, rods, pistons, etc., I'd go with a LS2 block also

If you stay LS1, I'd keep the stock crank

Skip the 317 heads...IMO low compression is a thing of the past unless you are planning on running pump gas only.

If E85 or meth are in your future keep your compression ratio
