Default Service ABS/ Trac control

Alright, I'm at wits end with this thing. I've searched, triple checked everything and followed the DIY and repaired the module 3 times now.

I can drive the car for one or 2 cycles and then it will throw the service trac/control, abs lights on. Today it would only kick the light on after blowing the tires off when the traction control was on or even when in competitive driving mode. If the trac/ control is off, I can do whatever and the lights won't come on. I have absolutely no problems driving the car w/out the nannies working, but the lights flashing on the dic and having to clear them out gets really freaking old. And ABS is nice to have when coming down from a 150mph run.

Last drive today.

Drove it 2 miles to the grocery store. Go in for 5 minutes come out, start car and no lights. Drive a 1/2 mile to parts house, go in for 5 minutes, start car again and no lights. Drive another 2 miles to Sonic, turn off car, sit for maybe 3 minutes, start car and BAM fuggin' lights are back on. WTF is going on?? I can pull the module off, clean all contacts etc and reinstall it and the light will be off. Drive it and it comes back on after doing the above. Also I've made sure that steering wheel position does not make a difference either.

Do I just need to bite the bullet and pick up another one?

I have gone over every part of the abs, braking system, every ground and it all checks out. The only code is the 1214H.

Have you tried this one, get the car up to about 50mph and apply the brakes hard to the abs gets attivated. Do this a few times maybe the coils are just sticking alittle bit.

Hadn't thought of doing that. I will give that a go tomm and see what happens. I am up for anything to try and fix this issue.

You can tune it out, so it won't report 1214, or send the module to absfixer.com (if you have 2001-2004).

When you say tune it out, do you mean through HP Tuners etc?

Haven't checked the cruise control. I will try that when I drive it tonight.

Yes but if it was mine, I'd have it fixed.

When tuning that code out, is it disabling everything or just the parameters that set that code?
