thanks a lot guys. This is the worst I've been hit in my life. I was negative for the flu and the results for West Nile won't be back for a while. They're running other tests in the mean time. Although I still had a fever, I was feeling better today but declined later this afternoon, so I'm sad to say I'm out on Bowling Green this year. I've been looking forward to it for so long and am really disappointed.

I do not know Bret personally, but the West Nile virus can be some nasty stuff. Hope he makes a quick and full recovery.

I spoke with Bret last night and he decided to throw in the towel. I was really looking forward to throwing some cold ones back with him as well. I guess we will all have to mourn his absence with lots of beer.
I just have to figure out how to hook up with all of you who are going?

Status update on me:
I am still sick after almost a week of battling this unknown disease. Still have fever and other troubles. I initially tested negative for Flu. The doctor took my blood for West Nile and for CBC, for other diagnoses. I finally got back one report from the doctor that indicates my white cell count is not elevated, but there is a "left shift" in my bone marrow. He said in layman's terms, I'm very sick but we still don't have answers as to what it is and to head straight to the ER if I decline any further.
It's slowly getting whittled down to West Nile.
