Default Just another dumb pulley question

I am running a A&A V2 kit on a stock bottom end motor. Currently I am running a 3.6 pulley and I am making 8 PSI maybe 9 at redline.

I am looking to pulley down to a 3.25 pulley. I am wondering what PSI it should put me at and if anyone else has ran that pulley? From all my research it should be 12-14 PSI. I am ordering the pulley directly from vortec

I am at sea level
Long Tube headers
No cat's/ X-pipe
Borla catback

The tuner will be tuning pretty conservative and meth will be added in the spring. 100% Alky kit

Any way I was wondering what y'all thought and if anyone had done it.

Are you going to change pulleys now and then get meth in the spring?

If you are putting 14lbs of boost through a stock motor, you better be sure your tuner knows what he is doing! I would hate to see you posting up a new motor build anytime soon!

Where are you located? I'm going to guess Texas. If you live in TX, get ahold of Bret (BLOWNBLUEZ06) He is an excellent tunner and knows what he is doing with a meth tune!

I live in Louisiana.

I trust my tuner, we are going to tune it with no meth right now and see how it responds with this winter weather. In the spring I imagine I will need to spray something to keep it alive.

Should that pulley make 14 PSI? I have seen anywhere from 11-14. I would hate to see me posting a motor build thread anytime soon as well. I know every one is different but just curious.

It is strange. I am only reving to 6,000. I am on longtubes and a free exhaust so that usually lowers it 1 PSI.

I am pretty sure I have 0 boost leaks as well. Altitude?

I am thinking of only stepping down to the 3.4 and getting a spring and retainer kit. That way I can rev a little higher, plus my valve seals hate me right now

Well dang... I will recheck all my clamps and stuff. Like I said I am at almost sea level. It pulls like a freight train. I can barely run it out in third to see the boost levels. I will do a few more runs tonight to check. I have only had the car a week.

I think I have decided against the 3.2 in favor of the slightly safer 3.4.
