Default Oil level

Anyone know the approximate oil level in the stock oil pan? I'm going to be venting my oil cap (breather cap), so returning the oil there is no longer an option (rear mounted turbos), so I'll need to tap the oil pan for the return. Since the oil return pump sits so low, I want to be sure where I tap will be above the oil level so help prevent a lot of backflow.

I thought of tapping the oil filler neck, but I have a feeling that would be too close to the vented cap and just cause a bunch of oil mist comming from the vent/breather.

Another idea was to have the return pump routed to passanger valve cover vent. Not sure if this is a good idea or not. There will be the vented oil cap, but I figure haveing the valve cover vent going to the intake manifold/throttle body with a check valve and catch can plus the vented oil cap would be best.

BLOWNZ06 drilled my bat oil pan almost in the middle of the front and as close to the top of it as you fill safe to drill a hole and still have good amount of pan above the drilled hole so it will not break ...Give him a p.m. man he has put a ton of TTIX kits on these cars. Plus is good doing it also.... Robert

Alright thanks. I'm actually more leaning towards returning the oil into the 3/8 nipple on the passenger valve cover. The one for the stock PCV system's intake. As only as the oil can flow past the internal splash shield in there, I think it would be perfect there.
