If that setup can support high hp (800-1000whp) then I can see it being pretty cool. Boost by gear? High boost settings for race gas? Sounds awesome to me. Looks pretty big though...

Not sure if you want to call out a top tuner on LS motors there Scotty!
He has been doing something right for over 10yrs? But I'm know pro! Just a good educated guess.
You have to keep in mind that Doug is about the best of the best and he developed ECSs system and tunes them!
Your not drunk already are you?
A/C man is correct. No where close to a restrictor plate. From what I see it looks like you could go lets say 10 psi boost right off idle due to it being in full overdrive and hold that or increase with engine rpm till max impeller speed. Very cool if if ends up working right.
I really cant see this ever taking off. It's a novel idea, it's great in theory etc etc
But the cost and size of the unit are going to make it impractical.
The only hope they might have is for an OEM to take it up, but cost and size will probably rule it out, as well as potential for unreliability.
It's baffling to think where the market for this would actually be given centrifugals are already a fairly small market in the overall scheme of things
