1/2 Mile Airstrip Racing is coming to Monee Illinois June 2013
I have been wishing an event like this would come to my area. All of this Texas mile talk had me sad, but now I am happy to hear this awesome news. Hope there will be some of you Big Dogs there to flex some of your muscles! More info to come.................................

Count me in, big dog i dont think so, who cares, i like racing not driving fast..if fast than ice on cake and eat it too, arun told me last month actually about this event, i said yes lets go.

does anyone have a formula/calculation for a given hp/weight what times beyond a quarter mile would be? There's plenty of these for quarter mile. Just wondering what speed I could run. I do 1/8th at 96 mph, and 1/4 at 122 in 11.1 seconds.

Hey Ricky, I'm going to be watching this very close as this airstrip is 30 minutes from me. They are planning for the first or second week in June for this event. The cost is $195 pre register in January. I will keep this thread up to date as I get info. Going to be one hell of a great day to wooop up on some nice pricey exocicts!

I will bet that Arun will find a lot of power with what you already have, just make sure you are running a good meth system ( Alkey ) and you will be surprised!
Jesse, you have a fast car, you just need some fine adjustments and you will be surprised with what your car can do!

There are a lot of really fast Vettes out there on this Forum. I am hoping that we can all bond together regardless if your N/A, Turbo, Supercharged, or Nos!
I am hoping to show all those stuffy White collar guys with their big $$$ Exotic cars that they are just a waste of money!
Lets get as many Vette guys out to this function as possible!

It will be interesting to see if anybody can break the fastest half mile time I have seen, which was like 212mph at the Texas Mile this year.
