Default Oil for fi

I just got a super charged 02 z06. It has a ls2 in it and it is fully built 402. My question is, will mobil 1 5w-30 still be the best oil for this engine?

Thanks

NOPE! If is isn't a racing dedicated oil its not going to have the lubricating properties you need etc... There is a thread started here by Louis from LG motorsports that had a lot of good info for you just check it out.

Also need to see what oil the builder of the motor says to put in it as far as 20w 50 r 20w 40. The way the motor was build will have a lot to do with what you need to use in her.. Robert

If your F/I unit is self/cont chg the correct oil in it like it says to. Plus may be good to go with a diff spark plug and gap on them. That will be on what rwhp you are running on the gapping... Robert
