Default ATI & Autotap

I am waiting on an ATI system recently ordered & I now see that there may be problems with programming. I guess it is time to invest in Autotap software. I already have the translator.

Who has the best price on this software? Is there a windows version yet? Thanks in advance.

Autotap is useful, but you will need additional software and instrumentation to do tuning.

At a minimal you will need.
- A wideband o2 device (the ones on the car are useless at WOT/PE mode and you need this data to get your a/f right)
- LS1 edit (to actually tune fuel delivery and timing)

A dyno is really needed to put the motor under proper load and get readings across the RPM range, but it may be possible to tune under street coditions with the proper logging devices hooked up to an onboard wideband o2.

Thanks for your input. This is part of the reason I enjoy this forum.

I have a MAF translator which I hope to use to adjust the fuel mixture. I know the LS1 editor would be nice but from what I understand its cost is prohibitive. In the past I have used stand alone computer systems such as Electromotive whose data logging provided info necessary to adjust AF ratios & timing. I realize that the MAF translator can't be used to adjust timing so I hope the programming with the ATI system is within the ball park on timing.

Where can I get the wide band O2 equipment? Thanks again.:D

ls1 edit is $550, for a locked version (locked to your vin), not a bad price for what you get.

wideband o2s are available at most dyno shops, but these stay at the shop and are not for onboard use.

If you want onboard, you will have to buy a sensor and a controller unit. The sensors are about $120 and can be purchased as a Honda replacement part; the controllers are pricy at about $800.

A friend of mine built his own controller with logging capability for about $50 and I'm planning on doing the same. Check out this link if interested http://www.diy-wb.com/

Thanks again for your reply. Looks like I need to run down a restricted LS1 editor if timing need to be changed. The wide band O2 sensor & related hardware looks like a harder nut to crack. Thanks again for your help. :D:D
