Default Lq9 preperation

Hey guys well I believe tomorrow I will be ordering the longblock for my car. I been doing research and see that the ALT Bracket is missing 2 holes for it. My question is how many here are running the supercharger on LQ9 with only 2 holes holding the bracket. I heard the 3rd hope is impossible to drill.

Any input will be appreciated.

Do you mean water pump? My blower mounts on the opposite side and does not interface with the alternator bracket at all. It does, however, use the two holes on top of the water pump.

yes I think that is what I meant to say. I though the hole missing was on the alternator side. I been reading LS1tech. Can anyone show me a picture of where it needs to be drilled.

There are actually two holes missing on the lq9 block. Both are on the alt side near the bottom of the block. One has an existing boss that can be drilled and tapped, the other is not there in any way or form. You do not need either of the holes that are missing. The only time you would have to drill and tap the one is if you installed a direct drive for the blower. I've done several supercharged lq9s, no issues to be had.

Alright thanks Breecher_7, I just wanted to make sure. So I should be able to install my AA supercharger kit without any issues or worries . Ordering my new block now :0
