Default Joining FI next week

I visited the shop in NC today and took some pictures of the new Magnacharger. I'm taking the Vette up this Saturday and should pick it up on March 23rd.

Nice car and exciting time for sure. The anticipation of getting the car done and on the road was killing me but worth it in the end. Oh, you are gonna need new tires.

Welcome to the FI club! I think you'll quickly see no matter what mods you have, the blower makes it far more than you can use on the street!

I do have a couple of other mods already done. I have Trick Flow heads, a Comp blower cam, 2" Kooks Headers, a TPIS 90mm TB and a Vararam. I also have a FAST 92 intake but it will have to go.
I've also moved my coils and added chrome valve covers.

The finished product will be ready on March 23rd.

should be in the 550+ HP range . make sure you add an alki system or you will destroy your ring lands..

No doubt, this will make a strong car. I don't think you'll have an issue easily hitting 550+rwhp either. I'm not running a blower specific cam and I don't have your nice TFS heads and I'm putting down 600+ with a V3 Si at 10 psi. Either way, after that blower is on, the rest of the drive train will need attention before worrying about even more power. My two cents. Good luck!

I feel your excitement, I'm hoping to get my car today or tomorrow, it's been under the knife for the last month, of course if I would have just done the blower install I would have had it back a few weeks ago, but I got carried away. Good luck and enjoy your new found power.

Ya , not sure what kind of power your after, but with your mods, I would be buying some extra pulleys [smaller] , because you might end up with lower boost than planned. The heads and cam will definately lower boost , possibly 3 -4 lbs , depends on which pulley shipped with blower.

I think it shipped with a 3.8 but they were already talking about going smaller when I was at the shop on Monday.

How about a little more detail on destroying the ring lands. I asked about an alki system but was told that they don't normally do them on street cars. Is it under certain driving conditions or will the Magnacharger automatically destroy them.

Went by the shop yesterday and the Maggy is on the motor. A couple of days and she will be running.

His heads will actually help him make more power even though he will see less boost. lbs of boost is a measure of restriction and his mods will help the air get in and out of the motor faster. The volume of air being moved is what really makes the power (CFM) not the lbs of boost. It is possible to have less lbs of boost and flow more volume.
