I did alot of research also. I was either going to go with a dry NOS kit or a wet NX kit. And I found that there is no wrong choice between wet or dry.
There probably isn't an hour of installation time difference between the two.
But you may want to complicate the install, just a little, either way you go, by adding a few extras. Like an electronic throttle position switch, and a remote bottle opener. With an auto trans. you won't need an RPM window switch.
My decision was the NOS dry shot.
I got all the extras and a 10# bottle in my garage ready to install.
You might also want to check out http://www.ls1.com. There are a lot of guys there with TAs and Camaros that do lots of mods to try to hang with our C5's. The group on ls1.com as a whole are more hands-on types. And I think most them who spary use the NOS dry shot.
Thanks for the info John. I sincerely appreciate it.
What is your opinions and/or experiences with warranty work and the NOS system on your car. What would you suggest doing. My supposition is that, depending on the issue and potential cost of it, one would remove the obvious components of the system and replace them with something more conventional.

I was going to go with the TNT wet kit as most Vette owners have had lots of success with this. I let my friend that runs an 8 second drag car talk me out of it and went with the dry kit. I just got it today and haven't hit it yet due to inclement weather. I'll let you know what I think about in a few days.
I ahve basically the same set up and am considering the same thing for ocassional street racing (ocassional hehehe) What i was wondering is if there was a way to put in something that would allow me to have it "primed" and ready to go but so that i could only kick it on if i needed that extra boost during a drag from the light? I dont know much aobut the set ups, but i know that i want a window switch but what i was wondering is if there was a way to like put in a button as well so that it would only put on the juice when it was in the right rpms when the button was pressed, and spare me the youve seen fast and the furious to many times crap  but im trying to see if something like that would work so i didnt have to use nos everyrace. Also what tourqe conv would be best recommended with this set up, i want something good off the line but can kick hard when i floor it at 35-50 im sick of the stick kids taking off. thanks guys.
I am new at this too. Although I can answer one of your questions...they do make a remote bottle opener now. Nitrous Express is the manufacturer, I think...Tbyrne is where I am getting my setup as they had the best overall prices. My assuption is that the remote bottle opener will also close the bottle too, I will have to confirm this.
As far as the button, I would imagine that is possible. Post a question or call one of the NOS distributors...Tbyrne has been helpful.
but im trying to see if something like that would work so i didnt have to use nos everyrace.
All nitrous systems use an activation switch that arms and de-arms the system. You turn it off when you want to run w/o nitrous. Hand held nitrous buttons are difficult to coordinate during the heat of battle if you have a manual tranny. All you really need is a throttle position micro switch. When you go wide open the switch closes the circuit and you are juicing. I just posted this page. http://www.ls1info.com/print.php?sid=61
It's a good intro into the world of nitrous for C5 owners.
I have an auto as stated before, so the convienience isnt a problem, what im hoping for is to basically have it there ready to go but not actually engaging unless im a little behind in the race. Because i dont want to use it unless its a last ditch effort to win hehe
I've run through a bottle so far since the install. The 100 shot hits good and really comes on hard up to 100 MPH. I should be able to post some track times and dyno numbers within the next month. My car only has intake and exhaust so will be a good bench mark for a relatively stock car.
