Default Nitrous System Help *Popping my Cherry*

I’m stepping into the nitrous game and I’m really looking for a critique on my setup. I am mildly ignorant on the subject, but doing all the reading I can. I really appreciate all of the info in here and for your help.

The Car
’02 LS6 Z06
H/C/I 480rwhp
11.5:1 compression
SD tune

Nitrous Goal
Have a safe setup and run up to a 75 shot, spraying one bottle a year.

Nitrous System

This is the plan. I have some parts and need some more. I'd like to the 1st gear lockout, WOT, and the window switch on my Microedge.

-HSW Microedge
-N20 Outlet 90mm wet plate
-LNC-2000 (how much timing should I take out for a 75 shot?)
-Wideband + Lean Shutdown (any brand recommended?)
-Dynotune low FP shutoff
-10lb bottle with warmer and pressure shutoff
-Dynotune nitrous & fuel solonoids with nitrous line 2x longer than fuel line
-NGK BR7EF @ 0.030”
-NGK B8EFS @ 0.030” for cylinder #7

You dont need a BR8 in cylinder 7. The BR7EF will be more than enough those could be used all the way to a 150 shot. I would start with pulling 4 degrees on your current tune and look at the plugs. I would guess you will end up with 2 pulled. The rest of the setup looks good. Some of it is a bit of overkill like the lean shutoff but that is just my opinion. I do alot of nitrous at our shop and when setup correctly they are very safe. Good choice on the NO plate. You will be very happy. I would say jet it at 100hp though

Both of the previous statements seem right on. Im not a fan of wideband tuning with n2o, keep it simple. Plugs, timing, fuel, baro pres and grains...and thats it.

You didnt mention your fuel system....are you pulling off the rail or stand alone ?? With 480rwhp and pulling 100+ off the rail you will be close to your limit with factory pump. There are options but wanted to hear your fuel strategy before to many assumptions on my part.

And just my opinion....as said before , just progress it and ditch the gear lock out (it will also be a dramatic improvement on your et over lock out).

And best advise on the tune would be contact Dave.

I didn't mention fuel system because I specifically want to avoid doing it if I can.

That's part of the motivation to stay below a 100 shot. I'm running the fuel solenoid off the fuel rail - not a stand alone.

I hadn't considered doing progressive rather than locking out first gear. That's a good idea.
