Well I've been searching all over for a dual gauge pod not sure if I want to put it on the pillar or not . But was wondering were ppl have placed there's and where they got them from? If u can help that would be great thanks!!
I call them side of the door or window pods but there the cleanest way to make your gauges look,, IN PLACE. Lot of guys add on to the factory but then they look added on. Don't look bad, but just not as in place as sticking them in a pod..
Their cheap on e bay, or you can have one customized . Have a 3 on mine with a shift light and added a meth LED light to it so have 5 things on mine and had Dennis fab a vent in for the Air Condition. 3's didn't come with it.
Other car only has two.
Thing about the pod, you can paint them to match the color of your car or have them covered in fabric for a more pro look.
Running two gauges in the 3500 pickup and painted that one to match the inside colors.
Its quick, simple to run the wire's down and there right where you can see them. If you put things below the dash, they are of no use to you when you need them, other than some type of temp gauge. I've seen guys put boost gauges under the radio... Still have not figured that one out yet.

I got my double pod from DD mods on here. It's not an "overlay" and screw into place like all others, its a stock pillar with the pods added and all blended plus painted. It looks fery nice and not out of place. I then used aem gauges because they look just like the stock gauges.
i think Denis @ DDMods makes the nicest, most factory-looking pillar. i've got a double in my car. like mentioned, he blends the pods into a factory A-pillar and then refinishes it with the factory textured stuff, so it literally looks like stock. you'll spend a bit more to get one, but it's a good job.
its a stock a pillar modded so you do not have to worry about fitment. i had one car with the "overlay" and screws, i will never do it again. every time the sun hit it it would deform just a little more plus it looks like crap and does not fit in at all. the DD mods one i have was pricy but WELL worth it.
I put mine on the pillar, but I'm going to be moving them. After having them there nearly a year, I found I don't care for everyone being able to see them there and it's IN MY FACE all the time. Mine is a 3-gauge pod.
I've thought about moving them to the console, but lost that opportunity since Dennis at DD is in the middle of making my new 2din console right now. I think I'd like to move them to the dash, on top and in center near the windshield.
Here's a video of mine and how they look in the daylight. It's not BAD, I guess I'm just ready for something different. I'm using Autometer Cobalt gauges. You can see them at 38s into the video.
