In theory, when the power output in the next gear up excedes what you have in the current one, but in the real world a lot of other factors enter into that.
One indisputable fact of physics is that the faster you spin it, the more stress you will put on it. And the stress goes up exponentially. The great thing about FI is you don't have to rev the **** out of it to make power. Make the torque work for you.
Is that last .05 worth the decreased durability? Only you can answer that.
Theory aside, the best way is to keep going up until trap speed drops.
My $.02...

Well, lots of thing to write...

First run... The clutch smell (was smelling one month ago so i buy a 1300Nm rated clutch, but receive just the day before going to race, i will install it in 2 days)

After 17 runs, and 200 miles, clutch is again alive, but, lots of "clutch pedal at the floor" syndrom when i shift in 2th gear
Just 2 runs with clear shift... 11.1 each time (can do better cause the last 100ft was at limit rpm i put... 7400 !!!)

Not have put shift liftlight yet, so, shift to approx 7000

Not able to log these good runs because a lot of problem with the electronic :
- Sometimes, lost oil presure/fuel gauge... message "reduce power"... (have to restart the car)
- The second day, quite always connect issue with VCM (HP Tuner message)
- Always, not able to use the driver door console, so, cannot open my windows (without airco since i put my 2" header, on this hot day here, it's a pitty)

Also, i win a cup (2th for my category)

So, my new best for now : 11.133 @ 128.58mph
