Cool, I couldn't remember if you got that one. I think it was a 1.54 but I missed a gear or didn't shift quick enough. Please post it up if you get a chance.

Here is another view of the 9.96 with a 1.58 from Linxs:

I might have missed it, but what is the tire setup?

I have a stock cube X kit car as well.
Grats on clicking off a 9 rowing the gears. That is no small feat.

Congrats Ben like I said out there, you have the launches down! They were money especially the last one almost zero spin and the car stayed in the power band, the 3-4 shift time just cheated you out of another 9second pass! Awesome work with what your running power wise and ET wise in your car!!

Here's your 1.54 short time pass. I thought this had a shot of being a 9.8x after the launch.

What kind of DA and wind did you guys have on that day?

Ben, I'd love to see it on some Q16 and throw a few more PSI at it... Get it to break 150mph..

Maybe we can get all of us locals together sometime in Nov and do some testing in good air at RPR. Have us a little Vette meet out there. Then we can all break sh*t together..

Alan, not sure. We can plug his slips in to drag times to get a better guess. He did a heck of a job driving the car and doing it on the stock bottom end. The RXT is a 100% on clutch once the driver figures how it works. Ben has become a master of that on the stock rear.

Thanks, guys.

Alan, here is a breakdown of the weather for May 5, 2013:

There was a steady headwind of 6 mph and gusts were up to 12 mph. Temperature was in the 60's and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Great day to be outdoors racing.

I made my pass at 10:22am and here is the DA as calculated from Dragtimes:

9:53am DA = 70
10:53am DA = 207

Rough linear interpolation yields ~ 135 feet above see level.

I'm all for another event in November. I know something will be setup.

You had pretty good air but..8-10mph head wind will cost you 1-1.5 mph for sure. You still came out better off then 2000'+ which is average around here (atleast until May)...

Often times in the winter when we get the -500- 0' air, we are dealing with the head wind, but even with the wind, I have still always ran faster then with no wind and crappy air..(except for my old nitrous cars).

Plus its MUCH easier to cool the car down between passes when its cool out.

Maybe we can get our own rental together in Nov/Dec or maybe after the first of the year. I want to make some passes in mine on regular old street night just to get it in the ball park before tying up $300-400 in a rental.

Maybe by then Mark will have a car together and maybe we can get Albert back down here...

This would be a COOL list of participants:

Ben, Me, Mark, Bill W, Jeff, Albert, Gordan (a buddy of mine) and a few other buddies of mine with some big power stuff. That would be a blast to have them all at a rental.

Ben, awesome work man! Better keep getting them in before summer comes on full tilt down here.

Alan, if you set up that rental, scratch me down.

You and Albert need a Full second start for guys like me and Ben to catch up. You guys are just too fast for the amateur drivers to run you, especially on a pro tree. But I like the idea. Good guys, non trash talking forum members allowed, just another TSS event. I'll have a lower HP car by then, but just trying to run another mid 9 in street trim. I still have a bottle kit for kill.

Looking forward to your beast, Alan.

LOL.. Albert maybe... But not mine.. It will take a good bit of time/passes to get my car to run like Albert's or Shawn's (ECS).. I'm fully expecting some slow a$$ 9.50-9.60 passes first few times out.. Hopefully ill wittle it down to 9.20s one day if I can ever get it to hook.. But I'm sure that's a long ways off. Not to mention my car is very heavy now.. Much heavier then Alberts..

I went back and looked over the timeslips and it adds up to 22 passes so far this year.

Here's the progression:

March 29, 2013, Royal Purple Raceway, 3 passes; 10.44@143.61 w/1.72

April 5, 2013, Royal Purple Raceway, 4 passes; 10.21@145.31 w/1.63

April 12, 2013, Ben Bruce Memorial, 1 pass; 10.09@146.39 w/1.62

April 20, 2013 Lonestar Motorsports Park, 6 passes; 10.04@145.49 w/1.62

May 5, 2013 Royal Purple Raceway, 8 passes; 9.96@145.11 w/1.58

I haven't touched the boost controller or the timing. This was done with driving and ve table adjustments and getting on a track with good prep.

The 9.96 happened on the 17th pass with this combo and there is still room for improvement.

I'm headed to Dallas for Import vs Domestic in early October so I should be able make it down to H-town early December. It sounds like fun and to help even the odds I will leave my subs in the car. LOL Kidding aside, it would be sweet if we could run both lanes.

If you are interested in a private rental this fall keep in touch Ben, inspector12, Mark, the Lethal guys, and so on. We will get it setup.

If anyone has historical data on the most favorable month (driest, negative DA's....) post up and we can lock it in.

I like the idea of a real late date, possibly before the December Holiday season. It gives everybody enough time to fix broke stuff from TI and the Texas Mile, and also to fix stuff for 2014's TX2K and TI if they break at the track rental.
